Privacy and analytics on OrlandoFirst.city
OrlandoFirst.city is an independent civic-research project. We collect only what is needed to keep the audit accurate and to know which research pages are reaching constituents. We do not fundraise, run political ads, or sell data.
What is measured
Page traffic is measured through Vercel Web Analytics, a first-party, cookie-less analytics tool provided by our hosting platform. It records aggregate counts such as which routes are viewed and the country and device class of the visitor. It does not set tracking cookies, does not build cross-site behavioral profiles, and does not share data with advertising networks.
What is not collected
- No third-party advertising trackers (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no ad networks).
- No cross-site identifiers, fingerprinting, or persistent visitor IDs.
- No collection of full IP addresses; the analytics service derives only coarse geography.
- No newsletter signups or fundraising lists.
Submissions to the Civic Courage Forum
The Civic Courage Forum lets readers submit source-backed claims about Orlando policy. Submissions are reviewed against the same public-source standard used in the audit. If you provide an email address, it is used only to contact you about your submission. Submitters can request deletion of any record by emailing research@orlandofirst.city.
Cookies
The site does not set marketing or tracking cookies. Administrative session cookies are scoped to the private editorial surface and are not exposed to public visitors.
Roadmap
We are evaluating a self-hosted privacy-first analytics service (Plausible) on a project-controlled subdomain so all visitor data physically resides on infrastructure we operate. This page will be updated when that change ships, and the analytics provider name will always be disclosed here.
