How to Increase Turnout in Low-Salience Elections

A German quasi-experiment estimated that holding municipal mayoral elections concurrently with European Parliament elections increased turnout in the European Parliament contest by about ten percentage points. Applying that result to Orlando municipal turnout remains indirect.
